What is the advantage to pre-registering? Cost to you as a competitor... For example, for the national tour, pre-register pricing is $130 for amateur classes, $90 for junior classes and $200 for Pro-Am classes. Friday onsite registration will add $10 per class and Saturday morning registration will add $20 per class to the above prices.

Why the cost difference? To motivate you to pre-register... but beyond that, in order for Pro Watercross to be able to maintain these beautiful race sites for the tour, we need to be able to provide accurate reporting to our host cities, which includes how many hotel nights are used during the event weekend.

2023 PRO WATERCROSS RULE BOOK

Pro Watercross is pleased to announce the release of the 2023 Pro Watercross Competition Rulebook. We greatly appreciate the feedback and suggestions provided by the rider community which is a key part of the continued evolution of our sport. The following is an overview of the changes incorporated in the 2023 rules. Please review the 2023 Pro Watercross Competition Rulebook for complete details.

2023 RULE BOOK UPDATES:

The following are specific rule adjustments for the new rulebook:

REVISION C CHANGES:

• Addition of the Junior Ski 8-9 class
• The class allows 8-9 year olds to participate in a time trial based competition. Rule 4.1.4
• A written request from the participants' parent or legal guardian is required for the Junior Ski 8-9 class. Rule 5.1.20
• Additional sponson allowance for the JS 300, 400, 440 and 550 classes. Rule 24.9.2
• Sponsons may be attached to the top side of the bond rail. No part of the sponson may protrude beyond the bond flange (bumper removed) by more than 2.5 inches (6.35cm). No portion of the sponson may extend downward below the top edge of the bond flange by more than 1 inch (2.54cm). Sponson length may not exceed 25 inches (63.5cm).
• Adjustment to the engine case requirements for the Ski 550 Modified Class. Rule 44.8.3
• OEM engine cases from a JS 300, 400, 440 or 550 must be used and may be modified. Engine components may be modified or aftermarket.  Maximum displacement 650cc.
• Creation of the Ski 550 Open class. Rule 44.9
• This was previously the Ski 550 Modified class
• The class allows for the use of any 2-cylinder watercraft engine up to 850cc.

The following are specific rule adjustments for the new rulebook:

REVISION B CHANGES:

• Sport Stock ignition clarification - CDI units for Polaris and Yamaha models can be modified or non-programable aftermarket units. rule 32.6.1

PRO WATERCROSS COMPETITION MEMBERSHIP

A Pro Watercross Competition Membership allows you to race at any Pro Watercross sanctioned Personal Watercraft racing event or affiliate,  provided you have the appropriate entry and waiver forms completed and submitted by the correct deadlines.

• Pro Watercross Membership may be purchased at sanctioned race event from one of Pro Watercross' event organizers or online at the Pro Watercross website.
• As a competition member you will be allowed to race in events sanctioned by Pro Watercross and its affiliates. 
• Annual competition memberships are valid for one calendar year (January 1 - December 31).
